Bill Black

William Patton «Bill» Black, Jr. (September 17, 1926, Memphis, Tennessee, USA — October 21, 1965, Memphis, Tennessee, USA) was an American musician and bandleader who is noted as one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. BILL BLACK was the bassist in ELVIS PRESLEY's early trio after which he formed BILL BLACK'S COMBO. Inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 (Sidemen).
