You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best!!

You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best!! is a Live hits album released by the American hard rock/heavy metal band Kiss. The album was issued to coincide with the group's 1996–97 Alive/Worldwide Tour. All of the songs on the album are live versions. Most were taken from Alive! or Alive II but, of most interest to the fans, were four live songs recorded but not used for those albums. The mix/ production of these tracks are presumed to be out-takes, in some cases with overdubs of new lead vocal tracks recorded by Simmons and Stanley. The sound and performances of these tracks differ greatly from the Alive! era songs, and it is debatable whether they are left over at all, or simply re-recorded by some version of Kiss at the time of the reunion.
