The Blues Has Got Me

Combing a wicked guitar and tasteful licks is not always an easy task; yet The Twelve Bar Blues Band does this very well. J.J. Sharp is a sensitive blues veteran whose voice sounds «whiskey-soaked» while remaining powerful to the point of turning heads. The grooving rhythm section lends to the sometimes haunting and always cookin' sound that this band lays down. From this writer's point of view, 12BBB just sounds good! The use of slide and harp further enhance the emotion and power of these songs, which are mostly originals. This is true blues and sincere musicianship that one could listen to for hours. If you like guitar, do yourself a favor and get this CD.
