Reunion 1983, Live in Albuquerque/New Mexico

«A Return to Forever» of CHICK COREA along with the WEATHER REPORT and the MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA were the pioneers of

electric Jazz-rock. Each member of this group is the leader of his own band and nowadays each one figures in that restricted elite of

the most famous Jazz soloists. In 1983 this mythical formation relived the memorable deeds of the past with a fleeting but higly

acclaimed american tour in which the audience was able to see CHICK COREA, AL DI MEOLA, STANLEY CLARKE and LENNY WHITE once more on stage together. The concert reproduced here is taken from that tour and also contains some Return to Forever’s classics in an extended and modernized version, as well as an initial triad of unreleased titles. It represents a wonderful set in which the total unison of the four members permits vortical solistic breaks where not only the technique but the instrumental virtuosity touch the most

extreme expressive heights.
