 Joseph Jarman and Anthony Braxton play a wide variety of reeds on this duet session, really stretching their range of expressive sounds. The originals are split between the two musicians, but not a lot of magic or close communication occurs, and the improvisations tend to ramble. Overall, a slight disappointment considering the talents involved. Recorded December 29, 1971. |
